Our group of three headed to spike/ snowshoe Real Life, Finger Lakes & Alexander Falls Express trails at Callaghan on a sunny Wednesday morning.
We encountered light traffic both ways, saw a few skiers & had “peaceful, easy feelings” during our 11 km & approximate 300 m elevation gain outing.
When we reached the falls, the skies were overcast & the falls were half-frozen.
A beautiful location & a great day!
If you can’t hike to the falls, and are in the area, I highly recommend stopping at the Alexander Falls lookout, especially on a clear day.
