High Falls Creek Trail in Squamish - Mar 22, 2025

Due to avalanche risk, our group of 8 decided to change our plan from Garibaldi Lake to High Falls Creek Trail in Squamish.
We were appreciative of our sturdy hiking boots as we scrambled up multiple steep inclines, some with the help of chains & some with our brute force, lol. The majority of the ascent was up these bluffs.
We enjoyed short breaks of catching our breaths & catching glimpses of the views of the falls.
The surrounding mountains came into view when the clouds shifted. We then enjoyed the remaining ascent through the lush forest before hiking down the long FSR.
We didn’t meet any other hikers or any wildlife. Maybe it was our jovial chatter?
This route is known for being difficult to follow, but we found enough markers that kept us from having to do much route finding.
According to AllTrails, it’s 8.4 km, 547 m.
A fantastic day!
Just a little bit steep.
A welcome short breather!
