Fleurs de Ville and Lights

Tamsin writes:-

A festive group met up at Waterfront Station on a not-too-cold Saturday afternoon to wander the Fleurs de Villes Noel flower displays and some of the lovely downtown holiday lights.  After reminiscing over the Woodward windows, we took a minor detour to view the wonderful indigenous art and the Olympic podium in the underground path between Canada Place and the conference centre, then continued our meandering up in to town to see the many incredible floral art sculptures.

We paused for a coffee/hot chocolate break at Honolulu Cafe, then, as dark fell visited the lights in Robson Square and the Christmas trees in Fairmont hotel lobby and the Art Gallery plaza then a final few floral mannequins in the Pacific Centre.  We finished our wanderings with a visit to the gingerbread house display in the Hyatt, a walk up Burrard past the Sheraton tree lights and St Paul's Hospital Lights of Hope then a huge and tasty Italian dinner. The weather stayed dry and relatively mild and a fun and festive time was had by all.  This may become an annual event!
