Eagle Bluffs, June 22nd 2024

Six happy hikers headed to Eagle Bluff via Black Mountain. The forecast was for higher than usual temperatures and sun. We arrived at the Cypress Mountain parking lot with overcast skies and the odd raindrop. Much to our surprise the parking lot was almost full!

The weather was not as advertised. It was humid and overcast with sprinkles of rain throughout the day.

We headed off to Black Mountain. Unfortunately the views were not to be. After a brief stop we continued onto Eagle Bluffs making good time. Just as we were approaching Eagle Bluffs the rain started and most of us made a hasty retreat into to the trees where we had a quick lunch.

Our route down took us past Cabin Lake where there were still patches of snow. The weather started to clear, and by the time we got to the parking lot the sun was shining.
