Back side of Hollyburn, July 28th 2024

On Sunday July 28th seven of us hiked up the back side of Mt. Hollyburn, had lunch on top and hiked back down the front side. Two of the trails, namely the Old Strachan Trail and the Hollyburn Backside Trail are unmaintained and therefore challenging in spots requiring a variety of contorted moves to get over or under or sometimes around a variety of barriers. Even though it was a good weather Sunday in Cypress Park the approach up Hollyburn from the back side had only three other hikers.
