Strachan Peak: Saturday October 21st

Afsana writes:-

After a bit of debate re location, 5 hikers, including a guest, climbed up to the North Strachan peak Saturday, Oct 21.

Due to the leader’s time constraint, we decided to take the shorter & not sweeter ski route.
Fortunately, there was an inversion factor and we had lovely views! Weather was overcast but, it was lovely to leave the fog behind.

The lively chatter of our group kept any animals away. We arrived at the north peak in 1.5 hours. The section from the south to the north peak was somewhat slippery, but we managed.

We met one group en route & saw a couple of groups climbing up as we were descending.

The total hike time, including breaks, was 3.5 hours. Approximate distance was 7.3 km; elevation 600 m.

A wonderful morning!
