Stanley Park in the snow

A small group of five took advantage of the weather to explore Stanley Park and exceedingly beautiful it was too with a chunk of new overnight snow. We kicked off at a frozen Lost Lagoon and then we had the pleasure of visiting the site of the first visit to Canada by a US President and then briefly walked around part of the seawall before heading to Beaver Pond. It was quite the wildlife trip with woodpeckers, eagles, various ducks and evidence of beavers. Any idea of an early hot chocolate was put to rest with the seriously closed Prospect Point Cafe, rather a boarded up eyesore right now.

The North Shore mountains looked absolutely beautiful, Vancouver was at its best even at -12C and we did get hot chocolate on Davie Street. See the route here, or almost all of it anyway
