Norvan Falls

Soggy Hikers by Tamsin

Iain writes,

More of an exploration of the challenges of walking up a stream than a hike. Incessant rain may have dampened the ground, but not the spirits. Only seven of us braved the elements and we were, not surprisingly, almost alone on the trail. A few trail runners and heroic dog walkers, that was about it. Lunch at NorVan Falls was but a brief affair before we turned round.

High point was the carefully flagged alternate route around a washed out bridge. Alternate route was exactly the same as the original route, only without the bridge. There was no hanging around at the end, straight home to dry out for everyone.

Here’s the route from Iain’s Garmin GPS MAP66sr
