Black Mountain

Spiking to Cabin Lake for lunch by Sheila.

Words and Images from Sheila

On Saturday, January 8th several members spiked up the trail to Black Mountain. Following alongside a ski run at one point on the trail we witnessed skiers and snowboarders of all ages whipping past us at a safe distance. No view of the Lions or Howe Sound at the top as heavy snow was falling the last half of the hike. Quite windy at the top so we spiked down to Cabin Lake, which was covered by ice and snow, where we sat out of the wind for a quick bite to eat before heading down. Of course there was an ample amount of chocolate to be shared. A great trip with lots of laughs.
