Mural Bike Ride 2021

This year’s ride attracted a group of five for a leisurely 40km ride around downtown, out to 67th and Granville then back into East Van via Main and 49th before wrapping up at Settlement brewing, for some of us. We had time for coffee at JJ Bean on Main and 14th too.

The murals were as impressive as ever, they really do brighten up the back lanes. We chose this year to concentrate on the 2021 murals but still saw some old ones, including the rather magnificent three dimensional Free Yourself at 68 East Second, that’s one with the hand reaching out in the photos.

For those of you on the north shore there are new murals at Highland and Edgmont which are worth a look.

The sun shone, after some early morning chill, and we look forward to next year.

Here’s the Garmin route from Iain, with some more photos. There is an app, VMF, that tells you where the murals are located if you want to go and have a look yourself.
